Manager of AI Engineering
Adam Dorwart is a Manager of AI Engineering at Shield AI. He leads the Scalable Learning team, which develops data pipelines critical to data analysis and machine learning. Prior to joining Shield AI, Adam developed autonomous systems at Brain Corporation, where he focused on the implementation of SLAM algorithms and the development of perceptual systems that used RGB-D cameras, Lidar, IMUs, and ultra-sonic sensors to create reliable maps of various environments. Adam was the CTO and co-founder of a mobile app Burrd that developed a customer acquisition tool for the food services industry. Adam began programming at age 13. He has also personally built a hexapod robot, a solar powered boat, and several software applications. Adam earned his BS in Computer Engineering from UCSD, and also holds an Associates degree in Electronics from Irvine Valley College that he earned while in high school.
